Detection of varicella zoster virus DNA in blood from immunocompromised patients during the week preceding the onset of herpes zoster rash.

Objective: To assess whether varicella zoster virus (VZV) DNA can be detected in blood before herpes zoster (HZ) rash onset.

Method: Monocentric retrospective study from January 2019 to March 2023 including patients with HZ and stored blood samples performed during the week preceding the onset of HZ rash. Blood samples were retrospectively analyzed for VZV DNA by quantitative PCR.

Objective: Leiomyosarcoma (LMS) is the most common subtype of uterine sarcomas. It is a rare and aggressive tumour. The aim of the present study was to assess the performance of fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG) PET/CT imaging in four clinical settings: initial staging, restaging, monitoring of response to therapy and post-therapy surveillance of uterine LMS.

Optimisation of reconstruction, volumetry and dosimetry for Tc-SPECT and Y-PET images: Towards reliable dose-volume histograms for selective internal radiation therapy with Y-microspheres.

Purpose: In Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT), Tc-MAA SPECT images are commonly used to predict microspheres distribution but recent works used Y-microspheres PET images. Nevertheless, evaluation of the predictive power of Tc-MAA has been hampered by the lack of reliable comparisons between Tc-SPECT and Y-PET images. Our aim was to determine the "in situ" optimisation procedure in order to reliably compare Tc-SPECT and Y-PET images and achieve optimal personal dosimetry.
