[Intracranial chordoma. Case report of a destructively growing chondroid chordoma in the area of the sella turcica].

Evaluating the literature a short survey is given about chordomas of intracranial localization. A case of a chondroid chordoma growing destructively in the base of the skull is described. Because of the localisation in the region of the sella turcica the first diagnosis was an adenoma of the hypophysis or craniopharyngioma.

[Encephalopathy in leukemia treatment in children].

Side effects on the central nervous system by antileukemic treatment have been well known for a long time. We report on 2 patients suffering from a severe encephalopathy during antileukemic therapy. Furthermore the results of cerebral computer tomography in 50 children with acute leukemia have been analysed.

[Frontonasal dysplasia. Case report and review of the literature].

FND is a non-uniform malformation complex with symptoms ranging between severe hypertelorism with bidfid nose and cranium bidfidum occultum with agenesis of the corpus callosum. Etiology and pathogenesis are discussed on the basis of a case history and some hints regarding differential diagnosis and genetic counselling are given. The exclusively sporadic occurrence of FND tells against a hereditary pathomechanism.

An unusual type of acrocephalosyndactyly with bilateral parietooccipital "encephalocele," micropenis, and severe mental retardation.

Here we report on a 2 year 3-month-old boy with acrocephalosyndactyly, a bilateral parietooccipital "encephalocele," micropenis, and severe mental retardation. To our knowledge there are no other reports of similarly affected patients in the literature.

[Computed tomographic measurements of breast density].

From histogram analysis the value of computed tomography for early detection of breast carcinoma or differentiation of benign and malign processes of the breast was evaluated. The results show, that CT is not applicable and gives no improvement of diagnostics.
