The Health Enhancement Lifestyle Profile (HELP) was an assessment instrument for health-related behaviors and was translated into Japanese (HELP-J) using subjective rating scales. This study investigated the internal validity of the HELP-J using a Rasch analysis. Snowball and purposive sampling were used for data collection.

Photoinduced Nonvolatile Displacive Transformation and Optical Switching in MnTe Semiconductors.

MnTe is considered a promising candidate for next-generation phase change materials owing to the reversible and nonvolatile phase transformation between its α and β' phases by irradiation of a nanosecond laser or application of a pulse voltage. In this work, for a faster phase control of MnTe, the response of metastable β-MnTe thin films to femtosecond (fs) laser irradiation was investigated. Using ultrafast optical spectroscopy, we inferred transient phase transformation.

Current pharmacological treatments for endometriosis are limited to hormonal agents that can relieve pain but cannot cure the disease. Therefore, the development of a disease-modifying drug for endometriosis is an unmet medical need. By studying human endometriotic samples, we found that the progression of endometriosis was associated with the development of inflammation and fibrosis.
