Mitral valve replacement with preservation of the mitral leaflets and subvalvular apparatus is considered to maintain left ventricular geometry and function and reduce the risk of myocardial rupture. However, the routine use of this technique may lead to early complications such as left ventricular outflow tract obstruction and even mitral inflow obstruction, requiring reoperation. We describe a rare case of bioprosthetic mitral valve dysfunction caused by a native valve preserving procedure.

With the absorption of such a boson by a xenon atom, these dark matter candidates would deposit an energy equivalent to their rest mass in the detector. This is the first direct detection experiment exploring the vector super-WIMPs in the mass range between 40 and 120 keV.

Resection of the tumor was done through a median sternotomy under monitoring of regional cerebral saturation of oxygen (rSo2) using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS). The tumor invaded to the right upper lobe (S3), the right phrenic nerve, the superior vena cava (SVC), and the bilateral brachiocephalic vein (BCV).
