Comparison of three different scoring systems in predicting success of retrograde intrarenal surgery in kidney stones larger than 20 millimeters.

Purpose: To evaluate stone free rate (SFR) predictivity of three different scoring systems in patients with kidney stones larger than 20 millimeters undergoing retrograde intrarenal surgery(RİRS).

Methods: Digital records of a total of 166 patients were reviewed retrospectively. Epidemiological characteristics (age, gender, medical history) of the patients, stone and affected kidney characteristics (size, volume, location, density, opaque, presence of urinary system anomaly, presence of stones in different calyx, number of stones, lower pole stone, renal infundibulopelvic angle (IPA), renal infundibulopelvic length (RIL), hydronephrosis), and operative characteristics (preoperative ureteral stent, operation duration, postoperative residual fragments, hospitalization time and complications were recorded.

Perioperative, Oncological, and Functional Outcomes after Retroperitoneal Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy in Elderly Patients: A Propensity Score Matching Analysis.

We aimed to assess the perioperative, oncological, and functional outcomes of patients aged 70 years or older following retroperitoneal laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) and compare their results with younger patients. A retrospective review of our prospectively maintained database identified 329 patients who underwent retroperitoneal LPN from January 2013 to October 2022. The patients divided into 2 groups defined by age ≥70 or <70 years at the time of surgery.

Electrophysiological evaluation of alterations in penile sensation due to penile prosthesis implantation in patients with erectile dysfunction.

Objective: The present study was aimed to determine the effect of penile prosthesis implantation (PPI) surgery on penile sensation by evaluating the penile electromyography (EMG) variables.

Methods: The research was designed as a prospective study. Thirty patients who were diagnosed with organic erectile dysfunction and had underwent PPI surgery between January 2017 and January 2018 in the Urology Clinic of Antalya Training and Research Hospital were included in this study.

A Case Report and Pediatric Literature Review: Povidone as a Rare Cause of Anaphylaxis in Children.

Povidone, a synthetic polymer commonly used in various products such as antiseptics, cosmetics, and medications, has been associated with allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis. Despite its widespread use, cases of povidone-induced anaphylaxis, especially in children, are under-recognized. This case report aims to highlight the importance of considering povidone allergy in pediatric patients presenting with anaphylaxis.
