In Québec, one in three people is at risk of being affected by a mental health problem during his lifetime. Women are twice as likely as men to suffer from mild mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. Poverty, violence and sexual abuse, difficulty to have access to adequate and affordable housing and poor working conditions are among the risk for women of being affected by a mental health problem.

Knowledge construction in chemistry through web-based learning strategy: a synthesis of literature.

Smartphones and computer-based technology have revolutionized different development sectors including education. The current review describes the existing literature on Web-Based Learning WBL) as a novel methodology applied in teaching and learning, and its potential effectiveness in teaching and learning chemistry. Further, the study intends to reflect on how the WBL could be applied in the Rwandan context of teaching and learning chemistry as the country adopted the competency-based curriculum (CBC) in 2015.

Safety and efficacy of sofosbuvir-velpatasvir to treat chronic hepatitis C virus infection in treatment-naive patients in Rwanda (SHARED-3): a single-arm trial.

Background: Hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 4 is the predominant type of HCV found in sub-Saharan Africa. Various genotype 4 subtypes, such as 4r, frequently have resistance-associated substitutions that can increase rates of treatment failure with common direct-acting antiviral regimens. In-vitro studies suggest that the NS5A inhibitor velpatasvir is effective against viral isolates containing such resistance-associated substitutions, but its clinical efficacy against genotype 4 non-a/d subtypes in sub-Saharan Africa remains to be confirmed.

Predictors and Evolution of Antiretroviral Therapy Adherence Among Perinatally HIV-Infected Adolescents in Brazil.

Purpose: Antiretroviral therapy medication adherence is a complex phenomenon influenced by multiple factors. This study examines its evolution and predictors among perinatally HIV-infected youths in São Paulo, Brazil.

Methods: During a 1-year longitudinal cohort study, perinatally HIV-infected youths aged 13-21 years taking antiretroviral therapy were recruited in hospitals and HIV/AIDS reference centers.
