Objective: Restoration of the sensitivity to sensory stimuli in complete brachial plexus injury is very important. The objective of our study was to evaluate sensory recovery in brachial plexus surgery using the intercostobrachial nerve (ICBN) as the donor.

Methods: Eleven patients underwent sensory reconstruction using the ICBN as a donor to the lateral cord contribution to the median nerve, with a mean follow-up period of 41 months.

Purpose: This study aims to discuss the diagnosis and management of radial nerve compression neuropathy in the newborn.

Methods: A personal case is presented, followed by a review and analysis of clinically similar cases identified via a PubMed search of published medical literature.

Results: We report a case of a term newborn with bilateral radial neuropathy at the humerus level.

The authors describe a rare case of subependymal giant cell astrocytoma (SEGA) associated with tuberous sclerosis complex that presented with intratumoral bleeding with extension to the ventricles. The literature regarding intracranial hemorrhage of SEGA is reviewed and only five cases have been reported in the literature. We have not identified a histological feature associated with bleeding.

This article presents a general historical review of zygomatico-orbital (ZO) fractures with application of contemporary surgical procedures. Two surgical cases are presented, in which the ZO fractures were approached via a transconjunctival incision with a lateral canthotomy. A two-point rigid internal fixation, combined with a porous high-density polyethylene orbital floor reconstruction, produced uniformly excellent cosmetic and functional results in a total of 42 patients with ZO fractures who were treated over a 2-year period.
