Chronic stress induces neural dysfunctions and risks mental illnesses. Clinical and preclinical studies have established the roles of brain regions underlying emotional and cognitive functions in stress and depression. (1) Context: Cancer triggers significant changes in family dynamics. It is noteworthy that coping and problem-solving skills, particularly in situations involving cancer in children and adolescents, have not been adequately explored in the context of family adaptation. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of family interventions in coping to improve problem-solving skills in parents and/or caregivers of children and adolescents during and after oncological treatment.

A Rare Case of Pleural Epithelioid Mesothelioma With a Prominent Myxoid Stroma Reported With Morphology, Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization, and Ultrastructural Findings.

Herein, we report a rare case of pleural epithelioid malignant mesothelioma with a prominent myxoid stroma. To date, detailed morphological or molecular pathological findings have not been reported for this type of tumor. Hence, we aimed to describe the cytological, histological, immuno-cytohistological, electron-microscopic, and molecular pathological findings using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) in such a case.

Nursing care protocol for critical users with tracheostomy under mechanical ventilation.

Objectives: to develop and assess a nursing care protocol for critically ill users with tracheostomy under mechanical ventilation.

Methods: a methodological study, developed through two phases, guided by the 5W2H management tool: I) target audience characterization and II) technology development.

Results: thirty-four nursing professionals participated in this study, who presented educational demands in relation to care for critical users with tracheostomy, with an emphasis on standardizing care through a protocol and carrying out continuing education.

A case of dumbbell-shaped accessory scrotum with concomitant lipoma.

Background: Accessory scrotum is a congenital scrotal anomaly that is usually located anterior to the anus and frequently presents with a lipoma in a bead-like shape. Herein, we present an unusual case of an accessory scrotum with a lipoma connected by a narrow stalk and located posterior to the anus.
