Background: Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH) is a systemic non-inflammatory disorder characterized by enthesopathy and osteophyte formation. DISH can also cause several other symptoms. Limited range of motion (ROM) is the most common symptom; however, dysphagia and respiratory distress are clinically important symptoms.

Na,K-ATPase is constituted by the association of two major subunits, a catalytic α and a glycosylated β subunit, both of which exist as different isoforms (in mammals known as α1, α2, α3, α4, β1, β2 and β3). Na,K-ATPase α and β isoforms assemble in different combinations to produce various isozymes with tissue specific expression and distinct biochemical properties.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjective: Prehension of the position of the microcatheter tip under fluoroscopy during cerebral aneurysm embolization is critical to prevent intraoperative rupture of the aneurysm, even if the first marker at the tip is obscured by coils in the aneurysm. This study presents our initial experience with a sub-marker catheter, which includes an additional marker positioned 5 mm from the tip, designed to facilitate accurate positioning of the microcatheter tip.
Methods: We analyzed cases of cerebral aneurysms treated with sub-marker catheters at our hospital from July 2022 to September 2023.
Local failure of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) often occurs within 2 years and delayed local failure is uncommon. In the present study, features of late local failure (LLF; >2 years after SBRT) after SBRT were investigated and compared with those of early local failure (ELF; ≤2 years after SBRT) to explore whether these two local recurrence features have different prognostic implications. Patients who underwent SBRT for stage I-IIA NSCLC between July 2006 and March 2014 were retrospectively reviewed.
