[Multicentric Screening of Local Antibiotic Resistance in Uncomplicated Urinary System Infections: 1850 Patients from 37 Centers].

This study was aimed to identify the most frequently observed pathogens in uncomplicated urinary tract infections from outpatient urinary isolates obtained across seven different geographical regions in Türkiye and to determine whether the antibiotic resistance rates of these pathogens differ significantly between these regions. The study included patients aged 18 to 65 years who were diagnosed with uncomplicated urinary tract infections and had positive urine cultures from March 2021 to August 2022, across 37 different centers in Türkiye. The participating centers were selected based on their use of the disk diffusion method, in line with the European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) guidelines, to ensure standardization of urine culture data.

Tubo-ovarian abscess management in our clinic.

Objectives: It is aimed to examine and determine the sociodemographic, clinical parameters and ultrasonographic (USG) findings and to make various predictions about patients who will need tube-ovarian abscess (TOA) surgery.

Material And Methods: Within the scope of the study conducted between April 2016 and March 2021, 140 patients diagnosed with TOA were evaluated. The parties in the comparison were compared based on clinical and USG findings of demographic characteristics of the patients who received medical and surgical treatment and those who received only medical treatment.

The effects of dietary changes on bone markers in postmenopausal vertebral osteopenia.

Background & Aims: Nutrition is one of the most important environmental factors affecting the formation of osteopenia. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary changes on bone formation and bone resorption markers of postmenopausal women with vertebral osteopenia.

Methods: In this study, 108 women with postmenopausal vertebral osteopenia were included.

Presepsin:albumin ratio and C-reactive protein:albumin ratio as novel sepsis-based prognostic scores : A retrospective study.

Objective: To investigate the prognostic value of the presepsin:albumin ratio and C‑reactive protein:albumin ratio in patients with sepsis in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Methods: A total of 228 (129 males and 99 females) patients with newly diagnosed sepsis were included in the study. The relationship between the C‑reactive protein:albumin ratio, presepsin:albumin ratio, clinicopathologic parameters, and overall survival were investigated.
