Background: Following the implementation of the European Union Tobacco Product Directive (EU TPD) regulations on e-cigarette products in 2016, we assessed the current profile of e-cigarette liquid exposure incidents and their associated health outcomes.
Methods: De-identified data were received from poison centers in eight EU Member States (Sweden, the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary Austria, Finland, Spain and Croatia) reporting on e-cigarette liquid exposure incidents between August 2018 to December 2019. Descriptive analysis was conducted to present incident characteristics and health outcomes.
Background: The use of e-cigarettes has increased during the past few years. Exposure to e-cigarette liquids, whether intentional or accidental, may lead to adverse events our aim was to assess factors associated with e-cigarette exposures across European Union Member States (EU MS).
Methods: A retrospective analysis of exposures associated with e-cigarettes reported to national poison centers was performed covering incidents from 2012 to March 2015 from 10 EU MS.

Purpose: Late failure, which occurs after successful osseointegration, is usually attributed to prosthodontic determinants. Corrosion of metallic suprastructures and incorrectly handled materials are often primary causes of late implant failure. In this study, 6 implants whose failure was related to suprastructure metal corrosion and adjacent bone were investigated.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFPurpose: Submerged and nonsubmerged ITI solid-screw titanium implants were followed retrospectively from 1989 to 1993 and prospectively from 1994 on to analyze long-term prognosis in partially and fully edentulous patients.
Material And Methods: A total of 468 implants were consecutively inserted in 191 patients from 1989 to 1998. Two hundred twenty-eight successfully integrated fixed-restoration implants and 238 with removable restorations were restored following a healing period of 4 to 6 months (9 months in sinus floor elevation sites).
The success of osseous and oral implants is partially dependent on the design and on the mechanical way of insertion. The torque moments during manual and machine-insertion and the correlation between torque and design of the implants were topics of this paper. The experiments were separated in two parts using pork-ribs in vitro.
