Measuring health professionals' capability to respond to health consumers' health literacy needs: a scoping review.

Health literacy-responsive health professionals will be increasingly important in addressing healthcare access and equity issues. This international scoping review aims to understand the extent and ways in which health professionals respond to healthcare users' health literacy, identifying tools used to measure health literacy responsiveness and training to support the development of these attributes. Four online databases were searched.

Towards cultural inclusion for older adults from culturally and linguistically diverse communities: A commentary on recent aged care reforms.

Objective: Due to the high and increasing number of older people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds in Australia, it is essential to ensure that the upcoming Support at Home program and other new initiatives incorporate culturally responsive aged care provision. Failing to address these challenges perpetuates inequalities in access to quality care for CALD older adults.

Methods: This paper reviews recent reforms and initiatives in aged care, identifies culturally responsive provisions and proposes new approaches for upcoming reforms that focus on CALD older people and their support networks.

The spectrum of co-existing disease in children with established kidney failure using registry and linked electronic health record data.

Background: Children with established kidney failure may have additional medical conditions influencing kidney care and outcomes. This cross-sectional study aimed to examine the prevalence of co-existing diseases captured in the electronic hospital record compared to UK Renal Registry (UKRR) data and differences in coding.

Methods: The study population comprised children aged < 18 years receiving kidney replacement therapy (KRT) in England and Wales on 31/12/2016.

Current Management Practices for Endometrial Cancer (EC) in the UK: A National Healthcare Professional Survey (KNOW-EC).

Unlabelled: The clinical landscape for endometrial cancer in the UK is evolving to include new management guidelines and targeted treatment options. An understanding of current treatment and management practices in the UK will help services plan and adapt to upcoming changes.

Aim: The purpose of this survey was to understand current and anticipated real-world practices for endometrial cancer care in the UK and potential areas for optimisation.
