Purpose: The aim of this study was to perform a retrospective analysis of selected risk factors and their variability in a 10 years period of observation in patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD).
Material And Methods: We reviewed 5219 questionares of patients hospitalized at internal wards of the Internal Medicine Institute of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. Among the participants 1709 were females with mean age 56.
The objective of the study was to evaluate the concentration of fluoride in human enamel before and after bleaching using 10-15% carbamide peroxide and after application of the fluoride varnish. Microsamples of enamel were collected using acid biopsy and the concentration of fluoride in the superficial and underlying layer was assayed. No significant differences were observed in the concentration of fluoride in both layers of enamel before and after bleaching as well as after varnish application.

Measured values of VC and FEV1 obtained from males being tested were compared to values resulting from Baldwin, Berglund, Kory, Knudson, Morris, Nikodemowicz, CECA standards and own one. Measured values for VC did not differ from own standard and that of Morris.

Data was collected from 90 persons in relation to the level of their emotional reactions to life's difficulties as well as to the number of somatic symptoms. It was concluded that falling ill with certain infectious diseases and some psychosomatic states are related to the increased level of emotional processes and the number of psychosomatic symptoms to stress.

These values were compared with values published 27 years earlier by Nikodemowicz and Morris's normograms. The latter published the highest reference values, on which most computer programs are based on.
