Introduction: Pneumococcal diseases pose a significant public health concern in India, with substantial morbidity and mortality, with the elderly and those with coexisting medical conditions being most at risk. Pneumococcus was also seen to be one of the main reasons for co-infection, pneumonia and complications in COVID. Current guidelines recommend vaccination for specific adult populations, but there is a lack of uniformity and guidance on risk stratification, prioritisation and optimal timing.

Orofacial pain includes pain arising from the odontogenic and nonodontogenic structures in the head and neck region. Dental clinicians need to have a thorough knowledge and skill to diagnose, manage, and treat patients with odontogenic pain or refer patients for treatment of nonodontogenic pain to specialists such as orofacial pain specialists, neurologists, otolaryngologists, and rheumatologists.

Lymphoma masquerading as jaw pain, headache, and syncope: A case report.

Background: Lymphomas of parapharyngeal space often have complex manifestations, posing a diagnostic dilemma for clinicians.

Case Description: A 64-year-old man sought treatment for a 4-month history of unresolving right-sided headache and jaw pain associated with syncope, all of which started with a toothache. Since the onset of pain, the patient had undergone multiple diagnostic tests with various specialists, with no pain relief.

Design and Synthesis of Highly Potent and Specific ABHD6 Inhibitors.

Fine-tuning than complete disruption of 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) metabolism in the brain represents a promising pharmacological approach to limit potential untoward effects associated with complete blockade of monoacylglycerol lipase (MGL), the primary hydrolase of 2-AG. This could be achieved through a/b-hydrolase domain containing 6 (ABHD6) inhibition, which will provide a smaller and safer contribution to 2-AG regulation in the brain. Pharmacological studies with ABHD6 inhibitors have recently been reported, where modulation of ABHD6 activity either through CB1R-dependent or CB1R-independent processes showed promise in preclinical models of epilepsy, neuropathic pain and inflammation.
