Endogenous tagging enables the study of proteins within their native regulatory context, typically using CRISPR to insert tag sequences directly into the gene sequence. Here, we introduce qTAG, a collection of repair cassettes that makes endogenous tagging more accessible. The cassettes support N- and C-terminal tagging with commonly used selectable markers and feature restriction sites for easy modification.

Objective: While weight status and clinical laboratory measures are important in assessing obesity-related disease severity and chronic disease risk, including a broader range of emotional, psychosocial, and behavioral factors would provide greater context of an individual's overall state of wellness and could be used to better guide treatment decisions. The purpose of this research was to develop a comprehensive Lifestyle Wellness assessment for use in lifestyle-based wellness interventions and programs.

Methods: A cross-sectional exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was conducted using baseline data from  = 138 adults participating in behavioral weight loss trials.

Dysregulation of the hematopoietic niche during hyperlipidemia facilitates pathologic leukocyte production, driving atherogenesis. Although definitive hematopoiesis occurs primarily in the bone marrow, during atherosclerosis this also occurs in the spleen. Cells of the bone marrow niche, particularly endothelial cells, have been studied in atherosclerosis, although little is known about how splenic endothelial cells respond to the atherogenic environment.
