Appropriate selection of the drying temperature is of great importance to achieve desirable film preparation. The present study investigated the impact of drying temperature (40-80 °C) on the physical properties and molecular assembly process of konjac glucomannan/ethyl cellulose/zein blend films through the casting method. Microstructural observations indicated that the drying temperature impacted the particle aggregation in the films, and at the drying temperature of 60 °C, a most even component distribution was suggested with the strongest hydrogen bond interaction according to the FTIR and micro-FTIR analysis.

Multimodal combined therapy constitutes an ideal strategy for the treatment of primary tumors and the suppression of distant metastatic tumors. In this study, a 4T1 cell membrane-coated UCNPs@ZnMnS (TUC@ZMS) nanoplatform is designed for synergistic photodynamic (PDT), chemodynamic (CDT), gas, and immune-based cancer therapy. The 4T1 cell membrane coating enhances tumor-targeting specificity, while TUC@ZMS, under 980 nm near-infrared (NIR) light activation, generates singlet oxygen (O) for PDT and induces reactive oxygen species (ROS) CDT to trigger tumor cell apoptosis.

Pathological ocular neovascularization, a characteristic feature of proliferative ocular diseases, is a primary contributor to global vision impairment. The dynamics of tubulin are crucial in maintaining ocular homeostasis, closely linked to cellular proliferation and angiogenesis. Elucidating the molecular mechanisms driving this process is vital for formulating effective therapeutic strategies.

Using small molecules to integrate multifunctional surfaces within a nanopore is an effective way to endow smart responsibilities of nanofluidic diodes. However, the complex synthesis of the small molecules hinders their further application in achieving multifunctional surfaces. Here, a simple and versatile design concept is reported for fabricating bioinspired integrated nanofluidic diodes with adjustable surface chemistry by confining a spirocyclic fluorescein derivative, 6-aminofluorescein (6-AF), within an asymmetric track-etched nanopore.

Hypertension, a globally prevalent condition, is closely associated with T cell-mediated inflammatory responses. Studies have shown that T cells, by secreting pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), Interleukin-17 (IL-17), and Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), directly lead to vascular dysfunction and elevated blood pressure. The activation of Th1 and Th17 cell subsets, along with the dysfunction of regulatory T cells (Tregs), is a critical mechanism in the onset and progression of hypertension.
