Background: United Kingdom Queer medical students' experiences have only been explored in depth in one previous study, despite longstanding calls to address National Health Service queerphobia. The study aims to combine our participants' data with personal insights from the Queer medical student research team to both record Queer medical students' experiences and provide practical actions that can promote support, inclusivity and celebration for Queer medical students.
Methods: Individual semi-structured interviews were conducted with 12 participants across three medical schools in England and Scotland.
The Gulf Stream, a major ocean current in the North Atlantic ocean is a key component in the global redistribution of heat and is important for marine ecosystems. Based on 27 years (1993-2019) of wind reanalysis and satellite altimetry measurements, we present observational evidence that the path of this freely meandering jet after its separation from the continental slope at Cape Hatteras, aligns with the region of maximum cyclonic vorticity of the wind stress field known as the positive vorticity pool. This synchronicity between the wind stress curl maximum region and the Gulf Stream path is observed at multiple time-scales ranging from months to decades, spanning a distance of 1500 km between 70 and 55W.

In a novel co-creation approach, we used the Behavior Change Wheel (BCW) and Double Diamond (DD) design framework to guide the collaborative design and development of a sedentary behavior intervention in the control rooms of two British police forces.
Methods: Multiple stakeholders participated in four phases of research.
Background: Fibrous hamartoma of infancy (FHI) is a rare, benign, soft tissue mass that may be locally infiltrative. Primary excision is the mainstay of treatment; however, given the infiltrative nature, margin negativity can be difficult to achieve. The management of residual disease in the setting of positive margins after primary excision is not well described.

Previously, our lab demonstrated that systemic PTP1B inhibition protects against atherosclerosis in preclinical LDLR models. Similarly, it was shown that myeloid-specific PTP1B ablation decreases plaque formation and ameliorates dyslipidaemia in the ApoE model of atherosclerosis.
