Background: Early in the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, Sunda pangolins (Manis javanica) involved in the illegal wildlife trade in mainland China were identified as hosts of severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronaviruses (SARSr-CoVs). Although it is unconfirmed whether pangolins or other traded wildlife served as intermediate hosts for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the trafficking of pangolins presents a clear risk for transmission of viruses with zoonotic and epizootic potential regardless. We have investigated the origins of pangolin carcasses seized in Hong Kong and have evaluated their potential exposure to SARSr-CoVs, other coronaviruses, and paramyxoviruses, aiming to address a gap in our knowledge with regard to the role of wildlife trade in the maintenance and emergence of pathogens with zoonotic and epizootic potential.

Despite these recommendations, recent reports indicate that issues are still prevalent in the diagnosis process and support offered for dyslexic children. The Delphi method was employed to gain parental consensus as to the most significant barriers to diagnosis and delivery of support for children with dyslexia, as well as solutions to overcoming these barriers.

Two recent computational models of reading development propose that irregular words are read using a combination of decoding and lexical knowledge but differ in assumptions about how these sources of information interact and about the relative importance of different aspects of lexical knowledge. We report developmental data that help to adjudicate these differences. Study 1 adopted a correlational approach to investigate the item-level relations between the ability to read a word aloud, general decoding ability, and knowledge of the word's phonological form (lexical phonology) or meaning (lexical semantics).

Benchmarking on total molecular energies, reaction energies and the spectroscopic constants of the SO molecule demonstrate that the new sets address the deficiencies of using existing auxiliary sets in combination with these orbital basis sets. We also report auxiliary basis sets for Na and Mg matched to cc-pVnZ, along with recommendations for pairing auxiliary basis sets to the cc-pVnZ-F12 basis sets for Hartree-Fock calculations.
