However, the precise mechanism underlying PFOS-induced hepatic glucolipid metabolic disorders remains elusive.

Biased µ-opioid receptor (MOR) agonists enhance pain relief by selectively activating G protein-coupled receptor signaling and minimizing β-arrestin-2 activation, resulting in fewer side effects. This multicenter Phase II/III trial evaluated the optimal dosage, efficacy, and safety of SHR8554, a biased MOR agonist, for postoperative pain management following orthopedic surgery. In Phase II, 121 patients were divided into four groups to receive varying patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) doses of SHR8554 or morphine.

Research on the application effect of arthroscopic access modification in meniscal injury repair.

Objective: To investigate the application value of arthroscopic channel modification in meniscal injury repair.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the data of 100 patients with meniscus injuries treated with knee arthroscopy from December 2022 to December 2023 and divided them into a control group and a modified group according to the application of "arthroscopic access modification technology". We compared the operation time, postoperative hospitalization time, VAS score, Lysholm knee function score, postoperative complications, and postoperative images of the patients in these two groups.

Background: Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) remain a significant global health burden, particularly in China, where kidney dysfunction (KD) is a key risk factor. This study analyzed trends in the burden of KD-induced CVD and subtypes among the working-age population (25-64 years) in China over the past 30 years and explored its association with age, period, and birth cohort.

Methods: This study extracted data from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2021, focusing on deaths and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) caused by KD-induced CVD and subtypes, including ischemic heart disease (IHD), stroke, and lower extremity peripheral artery disease (LEPAD) among 25-64 years globally and in China from 1992 to 2021.

Frailty as a mediator between sleep quality and cognitive impairment among the rural older adults: a cross-sectional study.

Background: Cognitive impairment is a common health problem among older adults. Previous studies have proven the association between sleep quality and cognitive impairment, but the specific underlying mechanisms need to be further explored. This study aimed to examine the relationship between sleep quality and cognitive impairment and the mediating effect of frailty in this relationship among the rural older adults.
