Aim And Objective: This paper aims to compare the antifungal efficacy of four concentrations of essential oil (MEO) against ATCC 10231.
Materials And Methods: This study was conducted . Ten kilograms of (Muña) were collected in the city of Tarma, Peru.
Background/aims: A comprehensive profile of genes expressed at the mRNA level (transcriptome) in human liver tissue is important for elucidating the pathogenesis and treatment of hepatic diseases. The recent development of cDNA array hybridization allows the parallel monitoring of thousands of genes expressed in a single organ.
Methods: High-density microarrays containing 4043 known and unique human cDNA gene targets were used to quantitatively analyze the expression of genes in human livers.
The development of a cell based extracorporeal liver assist device offers a promising clinical approach to bridge individuals suffering from acute liver failure to transplant. However, a major drawback of the existing technology is the lack of a continuous supply of well differentiated hepatocytes. Although some investigators have used primary porcine cells, this approach demands costly, labor-intensive isolation procedures and yields cells with inconsistent detoxification capacity.

Gene transfer into isolated hepatocytes can be accomplished via nonviral or viral vectors, the viral vectors being more useful at this time. Common recombinant viruses that integrate into the host genome include murine leukemia retroviruses and lentiviruses, adenoassociated virus, and the T-antigen-deleted SV40 virus.
