Background: A woman's experiences of childbirth, which represents a significant transition in the journey towards motherhood, encompass a range of factors that can influence breastfeeding, parenting behaviors, and readiness for discharge. However, research exploring the intrapartum and postpartum care aspects of the WHO-developed intrapartum care model remains scarce, particularly with regard to breastfeeding, parenting behaviors, and the readiness of the mother in the early postpartum period.

Aim: The objective of this study was to examine the impact of the intrapartum care model that adheres to the guidelines set forth by the World Health Organization (WHO) on several key outcomes, including the mother's maternal behavior towards her infant postpartum, breastfeeding self-efficacy, the success of breastfeeding, and the mother's readiness for hospital discharge.

Article Synopsis
  • This study isolated and identified distinct strains of lactic acid bacteria from traditional Turkish yogurts using 16S rRNA sequencing and MLST analysis, leading to 14 and 6 unique strains, respectively.
  • The lactic acid production was higher in the identified strains compared to other strains, and their EPS composition primarily featured glucose and galactose, highlighting their potential for food industry applications.
  • Most strains showed strong auto-aggregation and high cell surface hydrophobicity, with some showing antibiotic resistance to gentamicin and kanamycin, indicating their functional properties for industrial use.

roots are consumed as natural flavor components and raw or cooked as food, and their extracts are rich in sesquiterpene lactones such as alantolactone (AL) and isoalantolactone (IAL), which have recently attracted great attention due to their pharmacological properties. The industrial utilization of these compounds requires the development of green, efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable extraction protocols. Therefore, this study focused on the optimization of microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) process variables using Face-Centered Central Composite Design (FC-CCD).

The goal of this study is to provide a benchmark for the use of Monte Carlo simulation when applied to coincidence summing corrections. The examples are based on simple geometries: two types of germanium detectors and four kinds of sources, to mimic eight typical measurement conditions. The coincidence corrective factors are computed for four radionuclides.

The data of this descriptive and correlational study were collected from 583 women between October 2021 and December 2021 with information form, Brief Resilience Scale, Oxford Happiness Scale-Short Form, Epidemiological Research Center Depression Scale, Heartland Forgiveness Scale, and Life Satisfaction Scale. There is a statistically significant difference between the resilience, happiness, and life satisfaction levels of women exposed to physical violence from their partners and the presence of depression (p < .001).
