Article Synopsis
  • Autologous fat grafting for temporal augmentation is gaining popularity in aesthetic surgery but faces challenges such as high absorption rates, unpredictable volume retention, and safety concerns.
  • A systematic review of existing literature revealed that average fat volumes injected were around 10.69 ml per side, and various subjective and some objective assessment methods were used to evaluate outcomes.
  • Despite showing effectiveness and patient satisfaction, the inconsistency in fat retention rates underscores the necessity for more controlled studies to validate these findings.

Objectives: To analyse and document internal root morphological variations in permanent anterior teeth using conebeam computed tomography.

Methods: The cross-sectional, retrospective study was conducted from January 21 to June 19, 2021, at Jinnah Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Body Scan, and comprised data from July to December 2020 related to all the patients who had been referred to the centre for dental cone-beam computed tomography scan. The scans were evaluated at the Radiology Department of the School of Dentistry at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Male infertility accounts for nearly 40%-50% of all infertile cases. One of the most prevalent disorders detected in infertile men is errors in the MEST differentially methylated region (DMR), which has been correlated with poor sperm indexes. The aim of our study was to characterize the methylation pattern of the MEST gene, along with assessing seminal factors and chromatin condensation in sperm samples from both infertile patients and fertile cases, all of whom were candidates for intracytoplasmic sperm injection.

Objective: Conventional use of retraction cord in soft tissue management is effective only when the non-resilient nature of material does not jeopardize gingival health. Therefore this study aims to clinically evaluate the gingival displacement, ease of application and bleeding from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) retraction cord.

Patients And Methods: This study is a single-center, parallel-group, randomized controlled clinical trial (1:1).

Herein, a new series of azo ligands HL-1 , HL-2 HL-3 HL-4 and their metal complexes with Cu(II) & Ni(II) were synthesized successfully having excellent yield, in reproducible conditions and for structure elucidation different advance spectroscopic techniques (FTIR, H NMR, C NMR and Mass Spectrometry) were applied. In FTIR analysis, the absence of peak at due to -NH and presence of a new peak of N=N at 1390-1520 cm confirmed synthesis of the ligands. The H NMR spectra of azo ligands showed singlet peak at 11.
