Extracorporeal liver surgery (ELS), also known as liver autotransplantation, is a hybrid (cross-fertilized) surgery incorporating the technical knowledge from extreme liver and transplant liver surgeries, and recently became more embraced and popularized among leading centers. ELS could be summarized into three major categories, namely, ex-situ liver resection and autotransplantation (ELRA), ante-situm liver resection and autotransplantation (ALRA) and auxiliary partial liver autotransplantation (APLA). The successful development of ELS during the past 37 years is definitely inseparable from continuous efforts done by Chinese surgeons and researchers.

The function of SnRK1 in regulating darkness-induced leaf senescence in cucumber.

SnRK1 (SNF1-related kinase 1), a member of the SNF1 protein kinase superfamily, has been demonstrated to play a role in plant growth and development, as well as in stress responses. In this experiment, the leaf senescence of 'Xintaimici' cucumber was simulated by dark treatment and studied using SnRK1 activator/inhibitor and transient transformation technology. The effects of SnRK1 on cucumber leaf senescence, reactive oxygen species (ROS) metabolism, chloroplast structure, and photosynthetic characteristics were studied.

Factors influencing fans' spectating experience and configuration effects in CBA league.

The low satisfaction of fans' spectator experience, the weak willingness to continue to watch games have become the realistic barriers limiting the sustained and favorable development of Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA League). Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA), this study clarifies the complex causal relationship behind the phenomenon of fans' spectator experience, explore the linkage mechanism between different influencing factors of spectator experience. Also constructs a variety of grouping paths to enhance the fans' spectator experience in the CBA League.

The Contribution of Carbapenem-Resistant Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Isolation to Clinical Outcomes in Hospitalized Patients with Exacerbations of Bronchiectasis: A Retrospective Cohort Study.

Background: The antibiotic resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) is increasingly severe in bronchiectasis patients. However, there is currently a lack of research on the clinical outcomes of carbapenem-resistant PA (CRPA) isolation in hospitalized exacerbations of bronchiectasis (HEB) patients. We investigated the incidence, risk factors, and clinical outcomes of PA and CRPA isolation in HEB patients.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is associated with cognitive impairment and neuro-inflammation. Dysregulated activation of microglia and astrocytes induces neuro-inflammation, and reactive astrocytes have been classified into A1 neurotoxic and A2 neuroprotective phenotypes. A1 astrocytes are induced by activated neuro-inflammatory microglia via secreting IL-1α, TNFα and C1q, and contributing to inflammation and neuronal cell death.
