Unusual hand tumor: A case report.

Adipose tumors are dominated by lipomas, but other rarer entities may be encountered such as hibernoma which is a benign tumor that develops from brown fat. The thigh is the preferred location for hibernomas, but the tumor can appear in other areas. The upper limb is a rare localization and there is only 1 case of hibernoma on the hand already reported in the English literature.

The Simultaneous Compression of the Median and Ulnar Nerves by Lipoma: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.

Entrapment syndromes in the hand are very common and usually idiopathic. However, it can be the expression of nerve compression by a nearby structure or tumor. Space-occupying lesions are widely reported as a cause of median or ulnar nerve compression in the wrist.

Pseudotumoral form of soft tissue tuberculosis of the hand: six cases.

Musculoskeletal involvement is not uncommon in extra-pulmonary tuberculosis, but the localization in the soft tissue of the hand is very rare. Diagnosis is much more difficult because of the atypical location and non-specific symptoms. We report 6 cases of pseudotumoral form of soft tissue tuberculosis of the hand treated in our department during the past 12 years.

Kuhlmann vascularized bone grafting for treatment of Kienböck's disease: a case report.

Treatment of Kienböck's disease has historically been determined by staging, ulnar variance, and presence or absence of arthritic changes. With the advent of newer techniques of vascularized bone grafting, the status of the cartilage shell of the lunate has become another factor that can influence the procedure performed. The purpose of this article is to describe the technique of Kuhlmann vascularized bone graft for Kienböck's disease.

Intraosseous ganglion cyst of the lunate: A case report.

Intraosseous ganglion cyst of the carpal bones represents a rare cause of wrist pain. We report a case of a 42 year-old, right-handed female, who presented with pain of the right wrist following a fall on the palm of the hand. Clinical study revealed a moderate swelling over the mid-section of the palmar face and pain through extreme ranges of motion of the wrist.
