Measurement of radon concentration in metro stations of Istanbul, Türkiye.

The main objective of this study was to determine the levels of radon concentrations in different metro lines in Istanbul. Measurements were conducted in underground stations of five distinct metro lines: M1A, M1B, M3, M4 and M6. Radon activity concentration (RAC) values were determined by means of measurements.

Caffeine Improves Sprint Time in Simulated Freestyle Swimming Competition but Not the Vertical Jump in Female Swimmers.

Caffeine (CAF) has been shown to be an effective ergogenic aid in enhancing sports performance, including vertical jump (VJ), sprint, balance, agility, and freestyle swimming performance (FSP). However, whether acute CAF supplementation improves FSP in moderately trained female swimmers has not been well documented. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effects of CAF intake on vertical jump, balance, auditory reaction time (ART), and swimming performance in female swimmers.

Background: Some microbiota compositions are associated with negative outcomes, including among others, obesity, allergies, and the failure to respond to treatment. Microbiota manipulation or supplementation can restore a community associated with a healthy condition. Such interventions are typically probiotics or fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT).

Insights into abusive workplace behavior.

Objectives: This paper explores definitions, incidences, and outcomes of workplace abuse - a widespread, worldwide social phenomenon impinging on the well-being of workers in a developing labor market - and possible directions for delineating and standardizing classifications of the phenomenon that facilitate workers' protection. Furthermore, we employ Tepper's Abusive Supervision Survey Questionnaire [ASSQ] to identify managerial abuse in organizations regarding the type of organization (public/private), gender of the perpetrator, gender of the target, and the managerial role, of each of the abuse items. Finally, we suggest directions for further research and practical measures designed to facilitate the diminution of behavioral abuse in the workplace in the foreseeable future.
