We describe a rare giant placental chorioangioma in a patient who had a favorable outcome with close prenatal surveillance in a 28-year-old primigravida who was referred to our clinic for ultrasound evaluation of a suspected placental mass at 23 weeks' gestation. In the English language literature there is no reported association of this disease with an advanced state of pregnancy, nor is there any well-documented scientific data about the effect of pregnancy on this disease or of this disease on pregnancy. This report is about a patient with myositis ossificans progressiva carrying to 30 weeks' gestation and successfully delivering a viable female infant.
