Development and Educational Effectiveness of a Mixed Reality (MR) Program to Support Clinical Judgment in the Observation of Postoperative Patients.

Objective: The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a clinical judgment support program using mixed reality (MR) for the observation of postoperative patients.

Methods: This study employed a randomized controlled trial design, with 34 fourth-year nursing students as participants. The students were randomly allocated into two groups: a traditional simulation group (Sim group, = 17) and an MR group ( = 17).

However, the process by which organisms perceive and translate diverse environmental signals into offspring sex remains unclear.

Effects of the Calls and Presence of Roosters on Egg Incubation Behavior of Nagoya Laying Hens.

The incubation behavior of the Japanese Nagoya chicken breed is a commercial issue because it often causes a sudden and sharp drop in egg production. In this study, whether the incidence of incubation behavior in Nagoya laying hens was associated with calls and the presence of roosters in the same laying house was investigated. Four experiments were conducted using commercial layer-type Nagoya hens where the hatching time of the experimental birds and the treatment order in the presence of males were changed .

Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli-associated hemolytic uremic syndrome with recurrent acute cholecystitis: a case report.

Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli-associated hemolytic uremic syndrome (STEC-HUS) can induce life-threatening complications, including acute kidney injury, encephalopathy, and gastrointestinal complications. On the other hand, there have been few reports of cholecystitis associated with STEC-HUS. In this study, we report the case of an 83-year-old Japanese man who developed recurrent acute cholecystitis associated with STEC-HUS.
