In this study, we propose a strategy to explore the impact of the proportion of tris(2-carboxyethyl)phosphine (TCEP) and 6-mercaptohexanol (MCH) on the efficiency of oligonucleotide functionalization on PDMS microfluidic channels equipped with pairs of homemade microfabricated platinum microelectrodes. We identified an optimal concentration of these compounds that enables the effective orientation and distribution of probes, thereby facilitating subsequent target hybridization. The experiment included optimizing sample injection into microfluidic channels.

Background: Biological fumigation, a potential alternative to chemical fumigation, shows a wide range of prospective applications. In this study, we carried out biological fumigation experiments to evaluate its effect on alleviating consecutive cropping problems (CRPs) when compared with chemical fumigation.

Methods: We designed five treatments, namely, CR (no treatment), LN (chemical fumigation with lime nitrogen), Ta (fumigation with marigold), Ra (fumigation with radish), and Br (fumigation with mustard), for soils for replanting eggplant and measured the crop's growth status, soil bacterial and fungal communities, and soil physicochemical properties.

The sphere-to-plane projection of 360-degree video introduces substantial stretched redundant data, which is discarded when reprojected to the 3D sphere for display. Consequently, encoding and transmitting such redundant data is unnecessary. Highly redundant blocks can be referred to as all-zero blocks (AZBs).

Global warming has caused the gradual degradation of permafrost, which may affect the vegetation water uptake from different depths. However, the water utilization strategies of different vegetation species during the thawing stages of permafrost regions need further study. To elucidate these differences, we selected the permafrost region in Northeast China as study area.
