Introduction: Cladribine tablets are an effective treatment for relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). However, almost half of the treated patients are not free of disease activity after two years. The aim of this study was to describe the changes that cladribine tablets effectuate in the gut and oral microbiota and the peripheral immunological profile between responders and non-responders.

Background: Sleep, a vital pillar of health, impacts daily functioning and overall quality of life. Despite extensive research on sleep disturbances within specific therapeutic areas (TAs), there's limited understanding of how these disturbances affect patients across multiple TAs. This systematic literature review adopts a patient-centered approach to explore the meaningful aspects of health and concepts of interest relating to sleep and sleep disturbances across a variety of TAs, utilizing qualitative research to bridge the gap between patient experiences and clinical measures.

We see unprecedented weather causing widespread impacts across the world. In this perspective, we provide an overview of methods that help anticipate unprecedented weather hazards that can contribute to stop being surprised. We then discuss disaster management and climate adaptation practices, their gaps, and how the methods to anticipate unprecedented weather may help build resilience.

Socio-cognitive determinants affecting insulin adherence/non-adherence in late adolescents and young adults with type 1 diabetes: a systematic review.

Non-adherence to insulin treatment is common in adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. However, the socio-cognitive determinants (SCDs) of adherence in AYAs with T1D are less frequently represented in systematic reviews. This systematic review aimed to investigate the key SCDs associated with adherence/non-adherence to insulin treatment in AYAs in the age range of 17-24 years with T1D.

Sleep as a window of cardiometabolic health: The potential of digital sleep and circadian biomarkers.

Digital biomarkers are quantifiable and objective indicators of a person's physiological function, behavioral state or treatment response, that can be captured using connected sensor technologies such as wearable devices and mobile apps. We envision that continuous and 24-h monitoring of the underlying physiological and behavioral processes through digital biomarkers can enhance early diagnostics, disease management, and self-care of cardiometabolic diseases. Cardiometabolic diseases, which include a combination of cardiovascular and metabolic disorders, represent an emerging global health threat.
