The clinical evidence, complications and the pathogenesis of COVID-19 are not clearly understood. In COVID-19 patients, cellular immune response biomarkers and oxidative stress parameters have been used as gravity markers. Indeed, oxidative stress has been proposed to play an essential role in the genesis of COVID-19.

Pleural Marginal Zone Lymphoma Masquerading as Metastatic Adenocarcinoma of the Lung.

Extranodal marginal zone lymphoma (EMZL) is a rare subtype of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma characterized by the malignant transformation of lymphoid tissue at sites affected by chronic inflammation. Pleural marginal zone lymphoma (PMZL) is an infrequent manifestation of this condition. We report a case of PMZL co-occurring with primary lung adenocarcinoma.

Characterization of a New Hybrid Compound (CHN)ZnCl·2Cl: X-ray Structure, Hirshfeld Surface, Vibrational, Thermal Stability, Dielectric Relaxation, and Electrical Conductivity.

A novel organic-inorganic material (CHN)ZnCl·2Cl was synthesized via a slow evaporation approach and subjected to extensive characterization. Techniques involving X-ray diffraction, SEM/EDX, Hirshfeld surface examination, IR/Raman spectroscopy, thermal behavior (TG/DTG/SDTA and DSC), and electric and dielectric studies were applied. Examination of the crystal structure reveals that the synthesized material adopts a monoclinic system, particularly belonging to the 2/ space group with unit cell parameters = 11.

Phytochemical Characterization Utilizing HS-SPME/GC-MS: Exploration of the Antioxidant and Enzyme Inhibition Properties of Essential Oil from Saudi L.

This study aimed to analyze the chemical composition and biological activities of L. essential oil, focusing on its antioxidant and enzyme inhibition (α-amylase and urease) properties. Additionally, in vitro pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic evaluations were conducted through in silico molecular docking and BOILED-Egg models to assess its therapeutic potential and its potency in treating oxidative-stress-related diseases.

Periampullary Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma Presenting as Acute Pancreatitis.

Periampullary malignancies are uncommon and encompass a wide variety of tumors. Early and accurate biopsy-proven diagnosis is important because different malignancy subtypes warrant different management and treatment plans. We present a unique and rare case of periampullary lymphoma, initially presenting as acute pancreatitis.
