A modified Rapid urease test was evaluated as a screening tool for Helicobacter pylori in patients with Acid Peptic Diseases and Non Ulcer Dyspepsia during endoscopy.
The test was compared to the commercially available CLO test, culture, and histopathological examination, showing a sensitivity of 89.83% and specificity of 100%.
This modified test is highlighted as a simple, cost-effective, and quick method for routine screening of H. pylori in relevant patient populations.
