Emotional mimicry, the tendency to automatically and spontaneously reproduce others' facial expressions, characterizes human social interactions from infancy onwards. Yet, little is known about the factors modulating its development in the first year of life. This study investigated infant emotional mimicry and its association with parent emotional mimicry, parent-infant mutual attention, and parent dispositional affective empathy.

The detection of the trans and cis isomers was carried out by high performance capillary zone electrophoresis and further substantiated by 1H NMR spectroscopy. The data presented here establish the photo-isomerization of the vinyl double bond in the chromophore as the photochemical basis for the photocycle of photoactive yellow protein, a eubacterial photosensory protein.

The effects of the mutation of the alpha 1 beta 2 contact in Hb Malmö (alpha 2 beta 2 97(FG4)His----Gln) on oxygen-binding properties, ease of dissociation into dimeric hemoglobin and stability were studied. The P50 value of Hb Malmö in the absence of organic phosphates was 1.9 mmHg, in contrast to 8.
