Hepatocellular carcinoma is a primary liver cancer, characterised by diverse etiology, late diagnoses, and poor prognosis. Hepatocellular carcinoma is mostly resistant to current treatment options, therefore, identification of more effective druggable therapeutic targets is needed. We found microRNA miR-20a-5p is upregulated during mouse liver tumor progression and in human hepatocellular carcinoma patients.

Mitigating fatty liver disease has been shown to attenuate AD-like pathology in animal models. However, it remains unclear whether enhancing Aβ clearance through immunotherapy would in turn attenuate HFD-induced fatty liver or whether its efficacy would be compromised by long-term exposure to HFD.

By emitting non-repetitive random-modulated pulses, ambiguity in ranging and interference in detection can be mitigated. When gain-switched, the wavelength of the laser fluctuates abruptly at the beginning of the pulse and then drops until it stabilizes toward its continuous-wave (CW) state.

Dysfunctional innate immune responses have been identified to contribute to COVID-19 severity, but the key regulators are still unknown. Here, we present an integrative single-cell multi-omics analysis of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from hospitalized and convalescent COVID-19 patients.
