Cadmium (Cd) is among the most ecologically harmful heavy metals. The purpose of this work was to identify the biologically active components in dried oleo-resin-gum of extract (FAE) and assess their preventive efficacy against oxidative damage caused by Cd in rats. The biologically active components were identified using HPLC and GC-MS.

Article Synopsis
  • A study was conducted to explore the link between insulin resistance (IR) and the progression from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to Alzheimer's disease (AD) dementia in a group of 400 subjects.
  • Researchers identified a specific metabolic signature with 18 metabolites that are associated with IR and showed that this signature increases the risk of developing AD dementia.
  • The findings suggest that these metabolic pathways could help explain how IR contributes to the development of AD dementia, enhancing our understanding of this relationship.

Mesenchymal stem cells-derived exosomes (MSCs-EXs) applications have brought a key breakthrough in treating type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) and its diabetic complications. However, various recent strategies aimed to construct prominent engineered EXs with greater precision and higher efficiency for diabetes syndrome were conducted. In this research, we seek to enhance the medicinal potentialities of MSCs-EXs on type 1 diabetic rats' hepatic complications, via loading with either selenium (Se) or nano selenium (NSe) particles.

Background: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a medical concern that is accompanied by the rapid deterioration of kidney function. It can be triggered by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) of gram-negative bacteria as it activates a complicated immune response, resulting in widespread inflammation and potential organ dysfunction. Black seed oil (BSO) is rich in beneficial constituents and has been widely used owing to its nutritional advantages.

Type 1 diabetes stem-cell-based treatment approach is among the leading therapeutic strategies for treating cardiac damage owing to the stem cells' regeneration capabilities. Mesenchymal stem cells derived from adipose tissue (AD-MSCs) have shown great potential in treating diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM). Herein, we explored the antioxidant-supporting role of N, N'-diphenyl-1,4-phenylenediamine (DPPD) in enhancing the MSCs' therapeutic role in alleviating DCM complications in heart tissues of type 1 diabetic rats.
