Article Synopsis
  • The study focused on extracting collagen from the skin of Pure Breed Garut Sheep using acid and enzymatic methods, specifically utilizing CH3COOH and different enzymes.
  • Results indicated that bromelain-soluble collagen yielded the highest extraction rate at 37.07%, with pH values ranging from 4.01 to 4.76 and viscosity measurements showing slight variations among different extraction methods.
  • Ultimately, the study concluded that Garut sheep skin is a promising source of collagen, with the best extraction characteristics observed when using a combination of acetic acid and bromelain.

Article Synopsis
  • The Letter reports the most accurate measurement so far of the matter-antimatter imbalance during Pb-Pb collisions at a high energy level of 5.02 TeV.
  • It utilizes the Statistical Hadronization framework to determine precise values for the electric charge and baryon chemical potentials, μ_{Q} and μ_{B}.
  • The analysis of antiparticle-to-particle yield ratios shows that the collisions create a system that is generally baryon-free and electrically neutral at midrapidity.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), sixth most common cancer world-over, commonly metastasizes to lung, lymph nodes and adrenal glands. Incidence of osseous metastases in HCC has been reported to be 3-20 % which occurs predominantly in the axial skeleton. It only rarely occurs in the appendicular skeleton and that too as the solitary focus of metastatic deposit.

The improvement of thermal exchange is of utmost interest in a wide range of engineering areas. The current study focuses on thermal evaluation involving natural radiation and convection in a fractionally arranged moving longitudinal fin model placed under a magnetic field. We implement the Levenberg Marquardt backpropagation (LMB) algorithm for investigating an innovative use of stochastic numerical computation for analyzing the efficiency of the temperature distribution in a porous moving longitudinal fin.

The ALICE Collaboration reports the measurement of semi-inclusive distributions of charged-particle jets recoiling from a high transverse momentum (high p_{T}) hadron trigger in proton-proton and central Pb-Pb collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.02  TeV. A data-driven statistical method is used to mitigate the large uncorrelated background in central Pb-Pb collisions.
