Introduction: Determining sentinel lymph node (SLN) status is important for treatment decisions in patients with melanoma. Superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIO) combined with MRI have emerged as an alternative to Technetium lymphoscintigraphy for preoperative mapping of SLN, however, the MRI protocols so far are extensive with long in-camera time. This study aimed to evaluate an optimized MRI protocol for rapid identification of SLNs using SPIO as a tracer, without compromising diagnostic quality, the GOthenburg Fast Acquisition Sentinel lymph node Tracking MRI (GO-FAST-MRI).

Three-dimensional genome organization can be explored with fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) at the single-cell level, but the detection of small genomic loci remains challenging. Here, we provide a rapid and simple protocol for the generation of bright FISH probes suited for the detection of small genomic elements.

The expected oncofusion between break point partners (motor neuron and pancreas homeobox 1 [MNX1] and ETS variant transcription factor 6 [ETV6]) has only been reported in a subset of cases. However, a universal feature is the strong transcript and protein expression of MNX1, a homeobox transcription factor that is normally not expressed in hematopoietic cells.

Methods: Our study included patients who had undergone evaluation for macroscopic hematuria. A CNN-based AI model was trained and validated on the CTUs included in the study on a dedicated research platform (Recomia.

Fractures of the mandibular condyle account for a significant proportion of mandibular fractures. The specific functional loads require particular specifications for the implant design used for open reduction and internal fixation of such fractures. The clinical and radiographic outcomes in patients treated using a single rhombic 3D condylar fracture plate for open reduction and internal fixation at a single institution, and who fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria, are presented.
