Introduction: A renal parenchymal clamp has been used at our centre since March 2012. It is used in position over the kidney to achieve optimal vascular control of a tumour while minimising parenchymal ischaemia. This study aimed to report the feasibility, surgical outcome, and oncological control of a kidney clamp in partial nephrectomy.

Methods: This historical cohort study was conducted in two hospitals in Hong Kong. Patients who were diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer and prescribed androgen deprivation therapy between January 2006 and December 2011 were included.
Purpose: This study aims to compare the efficacy and safety of bipolar endoscopic enucleation of prostate with transurethral resection in saline for large BPE greater than 70 g.
Methods: All patients from two urology centres who had bipolar enucleation or bipolar resection performed for large BPE greater than 70 g from December 2008 to April 2012 were prospectively assessed. The pre-operative and post-operative measures included IPSS, QOL score, uroflowmetry results, PSA and prostate volume.
Background: Hyperglycemia-induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation contributes to development of diabetic cardiomyopathy. Nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), a redox-sensing transcription factor, induces the antioxidant enzyme expressions. Diallyl trisulfide (DATS) is the most powerful antioxidant among the sulfur-containing compounds in garlic oil.

These information streams range from tight patterns of action potentials that are well synchronized with the sensory transduction event to irregular, patternless discharge with no clear correlation to the sensory input. In general terms these afferent pathways can be divided into unmyelinated and myelinated fiber types.
