Advanced breast cancer is an incurable disease, with a median overall survival of 3 years, including in countries without access problems. Although chemotherapy is reserved in some cases, it is still used in many countries as a first-line therapy. The aim of our study is to evaluate the first-line treatment choices and the factors that influence therapeutic decisions.

Mobility paradoxes: disruptors, benefits, and agency among mobile female sex workers living with HIV in the Dominican Republic and Tanzania.

Background: Mobility is a key social determinant of health for female sex workers (FSWs). While extant research has focused on the adverse effects of mobility for FSWs, there are very few studies that have examined the multiple ways in which mobility may impact the lives of these mobile women from their perspective. This qualitative study aims to fill this gap by exploring how mobility impacts the lives, livelihoods, and HIV care and treatment from the perspectives of women living with HIV in two epidemic settings, the Dominican Republic and Tanzania.

A MPET-mPBPK model for subcutaneous injection of biotherapeutics with different molecular weights: From local scale to whole-body scale.

Background And Objective: Subcutaneous injection of biotherapeutics has attracted considerable attention in the pharmaceutical industry. However, there is limited understanding of the mechanisms underlying the absorption of drugs with different molecular weights and the delivery of drugs from the injection site to the targeted tissue.

Methods: We propose the MPET-mPBPK model to address this issue.

Longitudinal analysis of the role of mindfulness on HIV stigma, depression, substance use and HIV outcomes among female sex workers living with HIV in the Dominican Republic.

Female sex workers (FSW) living with HIV experience greater depression and worse HIV outcomes than people living with HIV (PLHIV) overall. Mindfulness is related to lower depression and higher ART adherence in PLHIV. Few studies have assessed these relationships among FSW, especially longitudinally.

Decoding complex transport patterns in flow-induced autologous chemotaxis of multicellular systems.

Cell migration via autologous chemotaxis in the presence of interstitial fluid flow is important in cancer metastasis and embryonic development. Despite significant recent progress, our understanding of flow-induced autologous chemotaxis of multicellular systems remains poor. The literature presents inconsistent findings regarding the effectiveness of collective autologous chemotaxis of densely packed cells under interstitial fluid flow.
