: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between tramadol use and cardio electrophysiological imbalance (iCEB/iCEBc) in general surgery patients with complaints of acute postoperative pain (APP). : In this prospective cross-sectional study, a total of 218 consecutive patients over the age of 18, who underwent surgical procedures in our clinic (postoperative), were included. For analgesic effect, tramadol was administered with an initial total max dose not exceeding 2 mg/kg.

In this study, we aimed to investigate the impacts of altered circadian rhythm on telomere length and mtDNA copy number (mtDNA-CN) in nurses working night shifts. In our study, 52 healthy nurses working in shifts at Ondokuz Mayıs University Hospital and 45 healthy control subjects working during the day were included. qRT-PCR technique was used for the determination of telomere length and mtDNA-CN.

These diseases can be caused by viral or bacterial infections and are considered one of the main reasons for the increase in the number of deaths among children due to the rapid spread of infection, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). People sometimes confuse acute bronchitis and asthma because there are many overlapping symptoms, such as coughing, runny nose, chills, wheezing, and shortness of breath; therefore, many junior doctors face difficulty differentiating between cases of children in the emergency departments.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine the clinical features of acute terminal ileitis in children and evaluate its rate before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: This retrospective study was performed in our pediatric emergency department between 2018 and 2022. The records of 5363 patients who required abdominal imaging due to acute abdomen were analyzed, and 143 patients with terminal ileitis were included.
Three-dimensional (3D) image analyses are frequently applied to perform classification tasks. Herein, 3D-based machine learning systems are generally used/generated by examining two designs: a 3D-based deep learning model or a 3D-based task-specific framework. However, except for a new approach named 3t2FTS, a promising feature transform operating from 3D to two-dimensional (2D) space has not been efficiently investigated for classification applications in 3D magnetic resonance imaging (3D MRI).
