In this animal experiment the hemodynamics of vasopressin were compared to those of the derivative, TGLVP, with prolonged action. The paper describes a new endoscopic method that facilitates the introduction of a feeding tube, even through stenoses of the upper digestive tract, or through areas of suture leakage after abdominal surgery. The method was successfully employed, without complications, in 13 patients; it was tolerated without serious inconvenience, and can be performed by the endoscopist and his assistant nurse.
