This letter discusses the incidence of anal cancer among Crohn's disease (CD)-related malignancies. Patients with CD have been demonstrated to be at a higher risk of developing small bowel and colorectal cancers than healthy individuals. Although CD-associated anal cancer is relatively rare, patients with CD accompanied by anal or perianal lesions are at increased risk of anal cancer.

Few studies have reported perioperative changes in the body composition of patients with colorectal cancer. A 26-year-old man was diagnosed with B/T-type mixed-phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL-B/T) based on blasts being positive for CD19, cytoplasmic CD3, and cyCD79a, but negative for myeloperoxidase. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia-based chemotherapy was started, but the leukemia was refractory. He underwent cord blood transplantation with the conditioning regimen of total body irradiation plus cyclophosphamide and cytarabine with granulocyte-colony stimulating factor priming.

Background: Elderly gastric cancer patients (EGCPs) require treatment according to not just the stage of their cancer, but also to their general condition and organ function, and rather than full treatment, the appropriate amount of treatment is necessary.

Methods: A total of 425 patients who underwent gastrectomy for primary gastric cancer in our institution between April 2013 and March 2020 were classified by age into two groups: elderly patients (EP, age ≥ 80 years, n = 89); and younger patients (YP, age < 80 years, n = 336). The preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative conditions of the two groups were then compared.

Ocular adnexal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (OAMZL) of the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue is a distinct subtype of B-cell lymphoma. OAMZL occasionally occurs on both sides with a varied sequence in the time course. However, few case reports have described clonal analysis of bilateral OAMZ.
