The study explored women's experiences of their community reintegration process after surgical repair of obstetric fistula at Jean Paul 2 Hospital in Conakry, Guinea. The study examined how lived experiences of the disease impacted on the community reintegration of treated women. Using a qualitative research methodology, ten women participated after giving informed consent.

Innovative teaching in infection prevention and control and infectious diseases education: testing and investigation of student perceptions.

Purpose: Many curricula promote frontal teaching approaches, potentially decreasing interaction and motivation - also within infection prevention & control and infectious diseases (IPC/ID). We aimed to investigate the implementation of three innovative teaching methods (ITM) within IPC/ID education: game-based learning (GBL), peer-teaching (PT) and misinformation detection (MID).

Methods: Multi-phase study involving third-year medical students was conducted.

Objective: large-scale multicentre clinical trials conducted by cooperative groups have generated a lot of evidence to establish better standard treatments. The Clinical Trials Act was enforced on 1 April 2018, in Japan, and it has remarkably increased the operational burden on investigators, but its long-term impact on cancer cooperative groups is unknown.

Methods: a survey was conducted across the nine major cooperative groups that constitute the Japan Cancer Trials Network to assess the impact of Clinical Trials Act on the number of newly initiated trials from fiscal year (from 1 April to 31 March) 2017 to 2022 and that of ongoing trials on 1 April in each year from 2018 to 2023.

Superiority of Single-Antigen Bead Study in Donor-Specific Antibodies: Determination in Highly Sensitized Patients.

Objectives: The presence of donor-specific antibodies against HLA before kidney transplant has been variably associated with decreased long-term graft survival. Data on the association between pretransplant donor-specific antibodies and rejection and cause of graft failure in recipients of donor kidneys are scarce.

Materials And Methods: For this study of HLA antibody levels, we analyzed serum samples from 76 patients (48 women and 28 men) who were prepared for kidney transplant at the Baskent University İstanbul Hospital between 2017 and 2022.
