EGFR mutations in sinonasal squamous neoplasms: Novel hotspot for exon 20 insertions.

EGFR mutations and oncogenic high-risk (HR) HPV have been suggested to be mutually exclusive pathways in pathogenesis of sinonasal squamous neoplasms which include sinonasal papilloma and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). In Indian patients, HR-HPV association is rare; however, there is no data on EGFR mutations in these tumors. One-hundred-eleven cases of sinonasal squamous neoplasms were interrogated for EGFR exon 19 and 20 mutations, including 48 inverted papillomas (IP), 15 SCC arising in the background of inverted papilloma (IP-SCC) and 48 de novo SCC.

Robotic-assisted retroperitoneal lymph node dissection: defining selection parameters-a B-SAFE approach.

The objective of the study is to define selection parameters for RRPLND and evaluate the outcomes from cases selected via this method. Patients undergoing RRPLND from 2017 to 2023 (n = 57) were included. Initial criteria for robotic case selection were defined via 'B-SAFE' parameters.

Intracranial Internal Carotid Artery Pseudoaneurysm: A Narrative Review and Update for Otolaryngology Residents.

Massive epistaxis due to rupture of Intracranial Internal carotid artery (ICA) pseudoaneurysm is rarely encountered in Otolaryngology emergency but when it does, it requires immediate action. To provide an update on the approach toward diagnosis and management of patients with ruptured intracranial ICA pseudoaneurysm from an otolaryngologist perspective. The PubMed library was searched for previously published reviews, systematic reviews, or meta-analyses for intracranial ICA pseudoaneurysm, and a narrative review was formulated with a focus on Otolaryngology practice.

GALNT3 Mutation in Hyperphosphatemic Familial Tumoral Calcinosis - Novel Etiology of Secondary Amyloidosis.

Tumoral calcinosis is a rare syndrome characterized by calcium salt deposition in different periarticular soft tissue regions. We report this case of tumoral calcinosis with history of persistent soft tissue calcifications for over three decades. He presented with nephrotic syndrome and kidney biopsy revealed secondary amyloidosis.
