Immunofluorescence assays are extensively used for the detection of disease-associated biomarkers within patient samples for direct diagnosis. Unfortunately, these 2D microarrays suffer from low repeatability and fail to attain the low limits of detection (LODs) required to accurately discern disease progression for clinical monitoring. While three-dimensional microarrays with increased biorecognition molecule density stand to circumvent these limitations, their viscous component materials are not compatible with current microarray fabrication protocols.

The conservation agriculture (CA) approach, which includes three key principles such as zero tillage, retention of crop residue and crop rotation has gained widespread adoption to help mitigate the climate change effects on agricultural soils and meet the growing demand for increased production. Earthworm communities, along with microbial activity and diversity, are highly sensitive to tillage practices.

This qualitative study explored determinants of access to primary prevention and screening for HIV among people who inject drugs (PWID) residing in border communities of Gorno-Badakhshan, Tajikistan and Badakhshan, Afghanistan.
Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with PWID, community leaders, and healthcare workers.
Background: As numerous studies highlighted the importance of maintaining proper foot care (FC) behaviours among individuals with diabetes to prevent complications, we sought to assess FC behaviours among patients with diabetes and to identify the factors associated with the practice of diabetic FC.
Methods: We used a cross-sectional design and collected data through self-reported questionnaires administered to a sample of 586 patients from five medical centres. We conducted descriptive and inferential analyses to explore the relationships between potential risk and protective factors and FC behaviours.
