Self-assembled DNA origami lattices on silicon oxide surfaces have great potential to serve as masks in molecular lithography. However, silicon oxide surfaces come in many different forms and the type and history of the silicon oxide has a large effect on its physicochemical surface properties. Therefore, we here investigate DNA origami lattice formation on differently fabricated SiOx films on silicon wafers after wet-chemical oxidation by RCA1.

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) represents a distinct form of heart disease characterized by structural and functional alterations in the myocardium, occurring in the absence of other cardiac conditions. This review delves into the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying myocardial fibrosis in DCM, highlighting the pivotal role of fibroblast transdifferentiation into myofibroblasts. We examine the interplay between hyperglycemia, immune cell activation, and neurohumoral signaling pathways, with a particular focus on the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) signaling cascade and its contributions to collagen deposition and cardiac dysfunction.

Background: We aimed to evaluate the correlation of progression-free (PFS) and overall survival (OS) after first-line treatment of classical Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and the potential of PFS to serve as a surrogate parameter for OS.

Patients And Methods: We analyzed individual patient data obtained during and after treatment with polychemotherapy within nine randomized phase III trials (GHSG HD7-HD15) between 01/93 - 08/18. Effects of 16 experimental treatments on PFS and OS on trial level were evaluated by estimation of the treatment effects with Cox proportional hazards (PH) regression and a linear weighted least squares regression.

In this paper, we report on the sensing role of the 1,2,3-triazol unit in a 1,4-diyl arrangement in a fully π-conjugated fluorescent probe 1 (cf. Scheme 1) towards the fluorometric detection of 3d metal ions. The 1,2,3-triazol-1,4-diyl-fluoroionophore 1 was designed in a donor(D)-acceptor(A) arrangement with a 1,2,3-triazol unit as a π-linker between a terpyridine (A) ionophore and a diethylaminocoumarin (D) fluorophore to study the fluorescence behavior towards the divalent 3d metal ions Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn.

Background: Rhabdomyosarcoma and other soft tissue sarcomas (STS) with high-risk features are still associated with an unsatisfactory outcome. We evaluated the efficacy of oral maintenance therapy added at the end of standard therapy in patients with high-risk rhabdomyosarcoma and STS.

Methods: CWS-2007-HR was a multicentre, open-label, randomised controlled, phase 3 trial done at 87 centers in 5 countries.
