Oceanographic changes adjacent to Antarctica have global climatic and ecological impacts. However, this is the most challenging place in the world to obtain marine data due to its remoteness and inhospitable nature, especially in winter. Here, we present more than 2000 Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) profiles and associated water sample data collected with (almost uniquely) full year-round coverage from the British Antarctic Survey Rothera Research Station at the west Antarctic Peninsula.

Factors associated with nursing students' attitudes toward older people: A scoping review.

Nursing students rate geriatric nursing poorly in career preferences, but aging populations mean more older people require access to health care. Negative attitudes held by nursing students can lead to ageism affecting the quality of care provided. The purpose of this scoping review is to summarize research findings in the published literature relating to factors associated with nursing students' attitudes toward older people, and the tools used to measure these attitudes.

Value of Doppler ultrasound in early detection of diabetic kidney disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

The diagnosis of diabetic kidney disease can be delayed by limitations of primary biomarkers, which are microalbuminuria and estimated glomerular filtration rate. A number of Doppler ultrasound studies have associated an increase in intrarenal vascular resistance with the disease, which makes ultrasound a potential adjunct tool for early diagnosis. However, there is inadequate evidence to establish the effectiveness of including Doppler ultrasound in the diagnostic process.
