Artificial intelligence (AI) methods have been proposed for the prediction of social behaviors that could be reasonably understood from patient-reported information. This raises novel ethical concerns about respect, privacy, and control over patient data. Ethical concerns surrounding clinical AI systems for social behavior verification can be divided into two main categories: (1) the potential for inaccuracies/biases within such systems, and (2) the impact on trust in patient-provider relationships with the introduction of automated AI systems for "fact-checking", particularly in cases where the data/models may contradict the patient.

In the future, large language models (LLMs) may enhance the delivery of healthcare, but there are risks of misuse. These methods may be trained to allocate resources via unjust criteria involving multimodal data - financial transactions, internet activity, social behaviors, and healthcare information. This study shows that LLMs may be biased in favor of collective/systemic benefit over the protection of individual rights and could facilitate AI-driven social credit systems.

Despite advancements in precision and effectiveness of microwave ablation for tumor management, accurately predicting ablation zone geometry and minimum ablation margin remains a major challenge. This pilot study aimed to elucidate the influence of probe configuration on the morphometry of resulting ablation zones using tissue-mimicking thermochromic phantoms. In vitro results from 12 ablations were analyzed: (a) a single-probe ablation (n = 1) and (b) dual-probe ablations (n = 11).

Purpose: Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeting PET radiotracers reveal physiologic uptake in the urinary system, potentially misrepresenting activity in the prostatic urethra as an intraprostatic lesion. This study examined the correlation between midline 18 F-DCFPyL activity in the prostate and hyperintensity on T2-weighted (T2W) MRI as an indication of retained urine in the prostatic urethra.

Patients And Methods: Eighty-five patients who underwent both 18 F-DCFPyL PSMA PET/CT and prostate MRI between July 2017 and September 2023 were retrospectively analyzed for midline radiotracer activity and retained urine on postvoid T2W MRIs.
