Aim: This paper presents the development of the METRIC toolkit, aimed at enhancing primary healthcare interventions in the context of hepatitis C control, thus contributing to the World Health Organization's global strategy to achieve the elimination of the disease by 2030.

Background: At the global level, most people living with hepatitis C are unaware of their condition. Primary aldosteronism (PA) is commonly associated with resistant hypertension. Biochemical tests can be clinically useful in the screening and diagnosis of primary aldosteronism. This study aimed to identify the cutoff values of aldosterone levels (A) and the aldosterone-renin ratio (ARR) for an accurate prediction of PA in patients with apparent resistant hypertension in a real-life scenario.

Article Synopsis
  • The study focused on assessing knee muscle strength in young male soccer players, examining both intra- and inter-limb asymmetries, and how these factors relate to balance and body composition.
  • Results showed no significant muscle strength differences between legs, but strong negative correlations were found between knee muscle strength and balance performance.
  • The findings indicate that knee muscle strength is a key factor in predicting balance, suggesting that training programs should include knee strength development for better performance and injury prevention.
