The Bergen 4-Day Treatment for panic disorder patients in a rural clinical setting: a long-term follow-up study.

Background: The Bergen 4-Day Treatment (B4DT) is a concentrated cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) approach that has shown promise in treating panic disorder (PD). However, the effectiveness of the B4DT, particularly regarding long-term outcomes in rural clinical settings, remains underexplored.

Methods: A total of 58 patients were included using a naturalistic open-label trial design.

Functional germline variants in DNA damage repair pathways are associated with altered survival in adults with glioma treated with temozolomide.

Background: Temozolomide (TMZ) treatment has demonstrated, but variable, impact on glioma prognosis. This study examines associations of survival with DNA repair gene germline polymorphisms among glioma patients who did and did not have TMZ treatment. Identifying genetic markers which sensitize tumor cells to TMZ could personalize therapy and improve outcomes.

Atmospheric Pressure Laser Ionization Mass Spectrometry with Tunable UV Wavelength Utilizing an Optical Parametric Oscillator.

To our knowledge, this study presents the first implementation of wavelength-resolved resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI) spectroscopy under atmospheric pressure ionization conditions using a high-resolution mass spectrometric system. Atmospheric pressure laser ionization MS spectroscopic measurements were conducted on over 70 different polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and hetero-PAHs (N, S, and O) in standard solutions, as well as three complex PAH-containing samples. The results demonstrate the successful transfer of REMPI spectroscopy from vacuum to atmospheric pressure conditions, maintaining spectral integrity without significant band broadening.

Gender diverse people's psychological wellbeing and identity in the context of gender affirming speech pathology practice: A qualitative study protocol.

Background: Gender diverse people may experience discomfort with the sound of their voice. Additionally, their psychological wellbeing, closely connected to a person's identity, or perspective of themselves, is often reduced. A primary goal of gender affirming healthcare is to support clients' psychological wellbeing.
