Background: The long-term prevalence of clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) in patients with initial negative prostate biopsy is unknown.

Purpose: To investigate the rate of csPCa of men with initial negative biopsy.

Study Type: Retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data.

In pre-clinical models of brain gliomas, Relaxation Along a Fictitious Field in second rotating frame (TRAFF2), continues wave T1rho (T1ρcw), adiabatic T1rho (T1ρadiab), and adiabatic T2rho (T2ρadiab) relaxation time mappings have demonstrated potential to non-invasively characterize brain gliomas. Our aim was to evaluate the feasibility and potential of 4 different spin lock methods at 3T to characterize primary brain glioma. 22 patients (26-72 years) with suspected primary glioma.

Article Synopsis
  • Prostate cancer (PCa) is the most common cancer among men in Western countries, with its variability influenced by genetics, screening policies, and lifestyle factors, while the connection between gut microbiota and PCa progression is still not fully understood.
  • A study analyzed the gut microbiota of 181 men suspected of having PCa, using advanced sequencing techniques to identify differences in microbial profiles, diversity, and functional predictions between those with and without PCa.
  • Results showed significant differences in microbiota composition between PCa patients and those without the disease, suggesting that specific microbial functions might contribute to cancer progression, linking gut health to lifestyle and geographical factors in PCa incidence.

Article Synopsis
  • * The results showed that both groups had similar levels of competence, but specialists were better at identifying subtle cases, and there were no significant differences in error rates based on time of day.
  • * Findings indicated a notable number of missed and overcalled cases, underlining the importance of double readings and improved training in radiology, particularly in certain musculoskeletal regions with lower sensitivity and specificity.
